Charlotte Molefi is a self-taught artist with an appreciation for the arts in all their forms. She took art classes throughout her years in school, studied architecture at university, built her career in property management and pivoted in her mid – 30’s to became an emergency planning professional, where she now has the honour of using her artistic talent in collaboration with the ‘IAmPlanning’ international campaign.
As a member of the Botswana diaspora, her multiple culture shock experiences inspire her to illustrate the deep longing to return to the familiar – while grieving the loss of a home left behind – alongside the excitement of new beginnings, as she opens her mind & heart to new people, a new culture and a whole new way of life.
Almost all living creatures migrate in one way or the other – and all eventually learn to adapt in order to survive. And that is what she has chosen to do, not only to survive, but thrive. She is currently based in Germany, with her loving and supportive husband and their two bengals, Xander and Qiara.
